The Radford Fire, burning in the San Bernardino National Forest in Southern California, is only 2% contained after burning 990 acres as of 8:30 a.m. on September 7th. The fire was first spotted on Monday, September 5th, and has since forced the evacuation of several areas.

471 individuals among ten firefighting crews are currently working to slow and stop the blaze, using 44 engines, 8 water tenders and multiple aircrafts.

Big Bear Mountain Resort, made up of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, has temporarily closed the Summit Bike Park as a result of the encroaching fire. The resort has turned on snowmaking guns in an attempt to prevent the flames from reaching and destroying the resort.
